If you get a low battery indicator even after 14 hours + of charging , the battery should be replaced . CAUTION : To reduce the risk of fire or damage to persons or damage to the telephone , read and follow these instructions carefully . • Use only replacement battery 3094 . • Do not dispose of the battery in a fire . You can save battery power in the handset when the switch is set to OFF , but you will be unable to make or answer calls . Making a Call 1 Press P , and wait for the PHONE light to go on steadily . 2 When you hear a dial tone , dial the number your ’ e calling . Answering a Call • If the handset is in the base , lift the handset . Ringer Controls Handset Ringer Volume In standby mode , adjust the handset ringer volume by pressing Temporary + on the handset to increase volume , or - to decrease . Tone Base Ringer Volume Turn FhandsetRF ORIGNE Set the Ringer ON / OFF switch on the back of the base to ON if ON or you want the base to ring , then press + or - on the front of the base to select high or low ringer volume . Set the switch to OFF if you dont ’ want the base to ring . When the Base Ringer is OFF , the base wont ’ ring , but the IN USE light will flash when a call is coming in . Ringer Selection You can choose from four different ringing options .
