SECTION 2 : ASSEMBLING YOUR LEAF BLOWER IMPORTANT : This unit is shipped without gasoline or oil in the engine . Be certain to service engine with gasoline and oil as instructed in the separate engine manual Upper Handle before operating your unit . NOTE : Reference to right or left hand side of the leaf blower is observed from the operating position . Handle Knob Removing Unit From Carton Curved Head Lower Handle Bolt â¢ Remove staples , break glue on top flaps , or cut tape at carton end and peel along top flap to open carton . â¢ Remove loose parts if included with unit ( i.e . , operatorâs manual , etc . ) Saddle Washer â¢ Cut along corners , lay carton down flat , and remove packing material . â¢ Roll or slide unit out of carton and check carton Figure 1 thoroughly for loose parts . Attaching The Directional Discharge Loose Parts In Carton ( Hardware B ) â¢ Upper Handle â¢ Slip end of directional discharge over chute â¢ Directional Discharge opening and secure with the hex sems bolts . â¢ Hardware Pack See Figure 2 . â¢ Operatorâs Manual Hardware Pack This leaf blower is shipped with the following loose Hex Sems Bolt parts in the hardware pack : Hardware A â¢ Curved Head Bolts ( 710 - 1174 ) - Qty . 2 â¢ Saddle Washers ( 736 - 0451 ) - Qty . 2 â¢ Handle Knobs ( 720 - 0241 ) - Qty . 2 Hardware B â¢ Hex Sems Bolts ( 710 - 0259 ) - Qty . 2 Directional Discharge Attaching The Upper Handle ( Hardware A ) â¢ Place the upper over the lower handle , aligning the Figure 2 holes in the upper handle with the middle holes in the lower handle . See Figure 1 . â¢ Secure with the curved head bolts , saddle washers , and handle knobs . 5
SECTION 3 : OPERATING YOUR LEAF BLOWER â¢ Move the choke lever on engine to CHOKE WARNING : Read , understand , and follow position . ( A warm engine may not require choking . ) all instructions and warnings on the â¢ Move the throttle control on engine to FAST machine and in this manual before position . operating . â¢ Grasp starter handle and pull rope out slowly until engine reaches start of compression cycle ( rope Gas And Oil Fill - Up will pull slightly harder at this point ) . SECTION 5 : MAINTAINING YOUR LEAF BLOWER Clean the engine regularly with a cloth or brush . Keep WARNING : Before performing any mainte - the cooling system ( blower housing area ) clean to nance or repairs , stop the engine , wait permit proper air circulation which is essential to engine until the machine comes to a complete performance and life . Be certain to remove all grass , stop , disconnect the spark plug wire and dirt , and combustible debris from muffler area . ground against the engine to prevent unin - tended starting .
